What Our Parishioners Say

Our Mother of Sorrows Logo

High school ministry

Our high school students gather together on Sunday mornings and/or Wednesday evenings. We strive to meet the students where they are on their faith journey and help them know that they are an important part of our church family. We encourage them to become involved in our parish life and learn the importance of service to others. When a student enters high school and desires to be confirmed, they can begin the confirmation process. More information on this process is available on the Holy Sacraments page.

Children's Ministry Grades 6-8

Our junior high students, grades 6-8, gather for formation classes on Sunday mornings between the Sunday Masses from 9:30 to 10:45. These classes are taught by parent volunteers and encourage the students to engage in discussions of faith and life lessons. They are taught age-appropriate Catholic teachings, and the students participate in prayer and special activities to help them learn and live their faith.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place each week during Mass where children K- 2 are invited to come together for a special lesson on the Gospel that is geared for young children. They return to the Mass celebration after the priest’s homily.
