Ways we can help
1 Meal Train
Are you recovering from an illness or surgery, welcoming a new baby, or experiencing a family crisis or loss? Our Meal Train ministry provides hot, comforting meals during times when you need a helping hand. When meals are requested, a call goes out to our wonderful volunteers who make a schedule to provide meals as needed.
2 Food Pantry
It can be hard to make ends meet these days, especially as the cost of groceries gets higher and higher! If you’re having trouble keeping food on the table, assistance is available. Please reach out via the form below, and we’ll be in touch to get you the help you need.
3 Assistance Ministry
We’ve all had times in our lives when bills and obligations were a little too much to handle. Our Assistance Ministry offers financial help to pay rent, utilities, or other obligations. It’s overseen by a group of volunteers with financial support from a monthly parish collection. As a church community, we’re here to support one another in times of need.
4 Joseph's Hands
Do you have a minor home repair that you can’t quite manage on your own? Joseph’s Hands is made up of volunteers who are handy around the house and willing to lend a hand. They can come take a look, and if they can’t fix it, they can give you recommendations for people who can. Fill out the form below and tell us about what you need, and someone will be in touch soon.
5 Homebound Support
If you are a member of our parish who can no longer attend services in person, the Homebound Support ministry can help keep you connected and up to date on church happenings. We can check in to see how you’re doing, send you the weekly bulletin, and we’ll do our best to help with occasional errands or rides if needed. Call (814) 535-7646 ext. 5 for assistance.
6 Sacramental visits
If you are homebound or facing mobility issues, we have ministers who can come to your home to read and discuss Scripture and offer Holy Communion. You can also set up a visit with Father Mark for Reconciliation or Annointing of the Sick. Call (814) 535-7646 ext. 5 for assistance.
7 Serve Others Saturday
All are invited to gather the 3RD Saturday morning of the month to a variety of service projects in the community.
8 Stuff the Truck
Once a month we fill the needs of different organizations in the community by donating much needed items. These items are collected outside of the masses and serve a variety of community causes from veterans, children and non profit organizations.
9 Special Events
At special times during the year or when determined we have a special collection of needed items. This ranges from coat drives, back to school supplies, turkey dinners, Easter baskets and Christmas gifts from our Angel Tree.
10 Bereavement
After the loss of a close family member, the parish offers support and prayers to parishioners who are grieving the loss. A note of caring and prayers and an annual mass of remembrance is offered for those we lost.
11 Prayer Shawl
A warm blanket or shawl when you are ailing is a comfort, and we have dedicated individuals that knit and crochet these for those that are in need. Talented individuals share their gifts by making homemade blankets for the sick and also for the new babies baptized into the church.
12 St. Vincent Depaul
We support the Saturday’s Kitchen at St. Vincent DePaul with the resources to provide a meal and the volunteers needed to help prepare and serve it to all who come and are hungry. This is done 4 times throughout the year in partnership with our Assistance Ministry.
