Youth Formation

Youth Formation classes are a great way for kids to learn about their faith and get involved in the Church. They help young people understand what it means to be a Catholic and how to live their lives according to Jesus’ teachings. This not only creates strong followers of Christ, but also ensures that Catholic faith and traditions continue to be passed down through the generations.

We offer Faith formation for all children starting in Pre-K through High school

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

The Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place each week during Mass where children K- 2 are invited to come together for a special lesson on the Gospel that is geared for young children. They return to the Mass celebration after the priest’s homily.

Children's Ministry Grades K-2

Our K-2 students gather on Sunday mornings between Mass from 9:30 to 10:45. All students are taught the teachings of the Church at an age appropriate level that helps grow them into young disciples of Christ. Through these classes, they are prepared to receive the Holy Sacraments.

Children's Ministry Grades 3-5

Our elementary school students grades 3-5 gather together for group prayer and worship at the beginning of each class. They then break into small groups to discuss the week’s lesson. The classes take place on Sunday mornings at 9:30 to 10:45. In addition to learning the teachings of the church, the students are taught about service to others and are encouraged to be involved in parish activities.

Children's Ministry Grades 6-8

Our junior high students, grades 6-8, gather for formation classes on Sunday mornings between the Sunday Masses from 9:30 to 10:45. These classes are taught by parent volunteers and encourage the students to engage in discussions of faith and life lessons. They are taught age-appropriate Catholic teachings, and the students participate in prayer and special activities to help them learn and live their faith.

High school ministry

Our high school students gather together on Sunday mornings and/or Wednesday evenings. We strive to meet the students where they are on their faith journey and help them know that they are an important part of our church family. We encourage them to become involved in our parish life and learn the importance of service to others. When a student enters high school and desires to be confirmed, they can begin the confirmation process. More information on this process is available on the Holy Sacraments page.
